We’re a little different…

Created by volunteers, for volunteers. We specialise in assisting rural communities in a wide range of environmental, conservation & community development areas. Our whole ‘A Team’ met over the years on various volunteering trips out in Ghana (starting with Sam in 2010!), after years of feeling we could do more we setup Atlas Volunteers with the aim of creating affordable, meaningful volunteering placements that enables people from all over the world and travel budgets to come and lend a hand in the country that we fell in love with. The benefit of joining the Atlas family is that we operate directly on the ground in our partnered countries. This ensures that we can offer the social impact, safety, security and fun rated placements that you hope for in a volunteering program.

Our Values

After repeated volunteer trips to the Kwahu district, based in the Eastern region of Ghana we fell in love with the place, people and values. We knew that we wanted to do something more and something different to the usual large scale volunteering organisations.. So here we are – offering the lowest priced volunteering in Ghana whiilst offering meaningful placements!
We know that not one of us can change the world or people’s lives in one day, but working as a team with the local community, little by little, step by step we aim to improve the livelihoods of the most vulnerable focusing on education, sports, renovation and conservation to drive development.

Our Awards

After regularly receiving high rated reviews from our previous volunteers we are extremely proud to announce that we have been awarded a top volunteer provider award from Go Overseas Community Choice Awards for yet another year covering 2023 – 2020 placements! In addition to the new honour of winning Acquisition International’s awards for the ‘Best Community Develioment Volunteer Group in Ghana’.
